Unearthing Dreams :: Uncovering the power within your complaints

Join us to learn how to unveil the exquisite dreams concealed within your grievances and bring them out into the world.

Complaints can be heavy burdens, not just for the complainer but also for those who listen. They often feel void of hope or freedom. However, hidden within every complaint lies a beautiful dream, waiting to be discovered—a dream that you and others can connect with and support.

In this transformative afternoon, we will guide you through a process of discovering the beautiful possibilities hidden in your complaints, and in doing so discover the compelling requests that dream asks of you.

Our class offers a holistic approach, incorporating heart-opening yoga movements, guided meditations, and partner and individual exercises rooted in Restorative Practices and Nonviolent Communication. These practices will support you in this transformative process.

Participants will:

Discover the profound connection between complaints and universal life giving needs.
Cultivate the art of transforming complaints into powerful requests.
Unearth the beautiful dreams within their grievances.
Learn effective communication techniques to share their dreams with others.
Leave with practical tools to shift their daily interactions and improve their communication skills.

By the end of this class, you'll not only change your relationship with complaints but also revolutionize how you communicate your needs and aspirations. Join us and embark on a path toward greater hope, freedom, and fulfillment as you learn to transform complaints into powerful requests, one dream at a time.

We hope you’ll join us.

About Liesbet: For over 20 years, I've dedicated myself to the wellness arena, working as a coach, trainer, and facilitator. My journey led me to achieve an MS in Restorative Practices from the Institute for Restorative Practices, providing a strong foundation for my work. Currently, I'm deeply engaged in research with the IIRP, focusing on innovative methods to enhance empathetic connections through intentional listening.

In addition to my expertise in Restorative Practices, I've immersed myself in the practice and teaching of Nonviolent Communication for over a decade. My journey has included becoming a Reiki Master and dedicating a decade in the early 2000's to massage therapy.

Last year, I joyfully expanded my skill set to include the role of a 'Laughter Yoga Leader,' adding a unique dimension to my personal resources. This year, I've ventured into the meaningful realm of a death doula.

As I breathe, my commitment to growth and learning remains unwavering. I look forward to continuing this journey as both a professional and a human being, always seeking new ways to make a positive impact in community."

About Suzanne: Suzanne was first introduced to the magic of yoga by her mother when she was a little girl. As a teenager she began attending Ashtanga classes and a few years later teaching her fellow high school students.

Her first teachers included Shiva Rea and Lori Snyder. She first officially trained in 2005 with Alice Joanou, a Vinyasa teacher in the TKV Desikachar lineage. And with Christopher (Hareesh) Wallis and Christopher Tompkins in meditation and Tantra. Later with Leslie Kaminoff of The Breathing Project in New York and still later with Tom Meyers of Anatomy Trains.

She has a degree in Integrative Medicine from UC Berkeley where she worked and studied with teachers such as Michael Pollan, Jack Kornfield, and Joanna Macy while writing her thesis on ancestral recipes for healing.

Suzanne has steeped herself in the study of Ayurveda and aromatherapy and plant medicine for over 20 years. She became a clinically trained herbalist through the Northwest School for Botanical Studies in 2009.

Suzanne’s heart is devoted to the disarming power of beauty- to the world of culinary flavor, the spectrum of the emotional scent landscape, and the insistence of poetry to strip us of our defenses.

She started Tosha in 2015.
