Fall Practice Sādhanā

This Fall Practice Sādhanā is an opportunity to learn and practice a modified version of the Ashtanga primary series.

We are at the Autumn equinox, and at the beginning of the decent into the dark season. Uncoincidentally, this time is celebrated as Navaratri- the 9 nights of the Goddess because we often need divine help to make this transition gracefully.

Suzanne has created an hour-long sequence to help you have a reliable go-to practice as we move into the dark season. This involves learning the primary invocation to the Ashtanga practice, 40 minutes of asana, 5 minutes of pranayama and 10 minutes of meditation- all woven with the divine thread of the breath awareness.

7:30-8:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday

Sept 23, 25th, 30th and Oct. 2nd

This season of Navaratri is an especially potent time for aligning with our intent. We will connect with what it means for our practice to be more than physical gesture- for it to encompass the sentiment of prayer- and for it to help us build the internal emotional musculature of happiness and fortitude alongside physical strength. We will connect to what it means to give to love even if we aren’t loving the circumstances we find ourselves in.

You will be given a visual handout reference of the practice and encouraged to practice at least one day at home per week or up to 6 times per week.

We will begin in silence. Suzanne will be available to answer questions after practice.
